Keeping Reusable Materials Out of Landfills

At Evergreen Recycling, we responsibly recycle a wide range of everyday items to keep them out of landfills. We accept tires, electronics, mattresses, and household appliances, making it easy for you to clear out clutter while doing the right thing for the environment. Our team handles each item with care and follows proper recycling practices to protect our community and natural resources.

Evergreen Recycling also purchases a variety of scrap metals, providing a simple way for you to turn unwanted materials into extra income. We buy metals including, but not limited to, aluminum, copper, brass, and lead acid batteries. Whether you’re cleaning out a garage, shop, or job site, we’ll help you sort and weigh your materials so you know exactly what you’re bringing in and what it’s worth.

In addition to on-site drop-off, Evergreen Recycling offers convenient pick up services and property clean ups. Our crew can come to your home, farm, or business to remove recyclable items and scrap materials, saving you time and heavy lifting. We focus on safe, efficient clean ups so your space is left tidy, and as much material as possible is recycled instead of thrown away.

Evergreen Recycling began in June, 2007 when the Bergfalk family purchased a small recycling company in Rush City, Minnesota. Since that time, we have grown to a full-service recycler in East Central Minnesota. Now, with 13 employees, we have processed an average of 20,000 mattresses over the last four years. We have also handled an average of 300,000 pounds of electronics and 700 tons of scrap in the last four years.

Evergreen Recycling has continued the passion of the Bergfalk family in protecting the environment. Before purchasing the business, the farm was named the outstanding conservation farmer in Chisago County for their implementation of conservation practices, as well as farming organically and raising organic grass-fed beef.  In line with protecting our environment, we have a 19.1 KW solar installation and convert used oil to heat for our building. Our passion continues on to our employees as we believe everyone has value in God's eyes, and we need to model that here on earth. We have hired many people who have gone through treatment at MN Teen and Adult Challenge, Salvation Army, as well as those who have been incarcerated. We also provide two scholarships to Rush City High School for seniors going on to college.

We appreciate our employees and customers who have helped us grow over these past 18 years and hope to continue that growth in recycling and with our employees as well.
